We Believe

We believe in challenging the status quo.

In partnerships that become friendships. In not taking ourselves too seriously. In curiosity, in growth, in exploration, in cups of tea made just right (builders, oat milk, no sugar, if you’re asking).

We believe in brave conversations, in learning new things. In figuring out what makes each of us tick, and how. In afternoons spent planning in the pub, pint and post-its at hand. In people. In jargon-free simplicity.

We believe in equality. In the richness of our different lived experiences, and how they can benefit us all. In improving, refining, doing things a bit better next time. In passion. In laughter. In leaving things better than we found them.

Who’s with us..?

Hey there! We’re People Powered Change and we work to create positive, lasting change for organisations, teams and people.

We know that change can feel intimidating – but we also believe that it can be fun, thought-provoking and empowering.

People are at the heart of everything we do. We work with everyone who’ll be affected by a change in order to create a successful, long-lasting impact.

What we bring to the table*

Beginning with a friendship between founders Luke and Darren, People Powered Change is a business consultancy with a difference. We offer a down-to-earth approach focussed on creating powerful change for the people we work with.

We take inspiration from many sources, particularly Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and social change principles. Central to our work is the belief that embracing our differences is good for everyone, and progress is made by continually learning and questioning our beliefs.

Hi, I’m Luke, co-founder of PPC! My purpose is to use my voice to leave the world in a better place than where I found it, oh and to have fun whilst doing so. I do that through facilitating engaging workshops with your team, learning the quirks of a new organisation, or telling awful jokes! (What do you call a chicken looking at a bowl of lettuce..? Chicken Cesar salad... Ba-bum-tish!)

Having seen the benefit of combining people change to traditional process change during my 11 years in the housing sector, I created PPC with Mr T to share my project management skills, coaching qualifications and fascination of people development with like minded organisations. I've recently certified in systemic coaching and constellations work and find this approach always brings new insight into the work.

I learn from each piece of work we undertake too, so it's totally a two way street.

I'm also a proud cat-dad to two lovely cats, Barley and Doug and am trying to visit all 400 English Heritage sites before I turn 40! Join our journey by searching #400by40 on insta!

Darren Turner

I'm a champion for all things change.

As a qualified personal coach and Myers Briggs Practioner, I'm passionate about listening to what someone is saying. Initially over a flat white in a coffee shop and then later over a post-it note, I pay attention to what is being said (and often what isn’t).

Having grown my career initially in Banking and more recently in Social Housing, I've crafted a skill that allows me to get under the skin of any situation to draw out opportunities to make something better and to collaborate with an individual or organisation to imagine it into reality.

Founding People Powered Change with Luke has enabled me to do what I love most; create and implement good change, whilst having endless fun with my best mate Luke. There is no one in the world that can quite make me laugh in the way Luke does.

Outside of trying to change the world, I'm a qualified running coach and am often seen taking people on running tours around Birmingham.
